It is ~0.15 miles from where Schad recommended camping (see other camp waypoint). It was a nice spot, but so was the spot that Schad recommended and schads was a little closer to destination.p6D There is a marked wash that can help get up this ridge. I found it late on the way down in the dark, but it seemed the way to go. kIt is important to go into this wash here. It is easy to miss for a short distance (we missed it by ~50').>{C uThere are quite a few petroglyphs here that are quite easy to see. It is just below the Corp marker on the topo map.0Ů There is a weak trail up this ridge that is nice to catch. It is easy to lose in spots, but if you head in the general direction you will catch it again.C  The wash splits here. Go Right!Ŕ| PSchad's recommended camp. It is a nice camp location, but so was our location.j. This is the start location up the final climb. There is a big rock on a slant to the West of the trail and two fairly large rocks (suitable for eating lunch on) close to each other to the right of the trail. ]Huge Cairn marks summit. This peak goes by Peak 6582, Dawn's Peak, and Lorenzen's Peak. There are 3 locations on the top that are very close to each other in height. The one directly ahead as you climb the trail is NOT the marked summit. The marked summit is to the East as you reach the crest. It is possible to mess up on the way down by going too far West (we did). It is actually less steep and starts to head across a saddle. On the other side of the saddle, however, it does a climb. Seeing that there was no significant downhill on the way up to the crest this is a sure sign of a mis-turn.ż tDo NOT take this route. It leads across a saddle. It will not lead down to anywhere close to the desired location.\ΰ RThis is where we parked.
